Insert the needle into one of the holes in the Ideal Seam gauge, but the Ideal Seam Guides up to the gauge. Guides feature a tacky back that sticks to the sewing machine bed and can be used time after time and leaves no sticky residue. The notched guide is used with walking foot and for curved seams.

Three-piece set has one seam gauge and two seam guides.
